The story of Velvet Noir:

Hi! Im Chelsea- Photographer, storyteller. At first this was just curiosity and I spent almost 7 years in front of the camera as a tattoo model. Velvet Noir was born the moment I stepped out and claimed my place behind it 3 years ago. My work is for the women becoming, the creatives, the quiet ones, the bold ones, and the ones who've outgrown who they used to be and want photos to reflect where they are headed.

My style is rooted in bold color, intentional and directional lighting and editorial influence and I want you to feel like you belong on a front cover of a magazine- wether that means the session is dramatic and moody, or clean and polished. While the studio is my playground- It is not the only place my work lives. I am versatile by design, working across different environments with the same intention in mind.

I am 100% self-taught in camera work, lighting, retouching, and photoshop artistry by taking courses and working alongside mentors. The type of learning that people say take 10+ years to learn. I will absolutely fight my setup for 2 hours if it means delivering images that feel elevated, and true to you.
